If something like this appeals to you, then consider one of these opportunities in 2018:
‘The Rock that is higher than I’, Saturday 14 July, 8-9.30am.
Take some time early one summer morning to walk in quiet on White Horse Hill, Uffington (pictured). There will be a reflection on ‘High Places in the Bible’. Refreshments at a local pub. Cost of refreshments and National Trust parking.
‘Imagining Salvation’, Saturday 18 August, 2-4pm
An afternoon spent quietly studying and contemplating some of the sacred art in the Ashmolean and colleges of Oxford. Led by Professor James Allan. Involves walking.
‘As the seasons change’, Friday 14 September, 2-4pm
Spend an afternoon in quiet contemplation in Oxford’s wonderful Botanic Garden. Rosemary Siebert will offer some seasonal reflections for meditation at the outset. Finish with a picnic tea together. Current entrance prices: £5, concessions £3.50.
