Marcham Covid-19 Hardship Fund
What is this fund?
Some generous donors have given some money to help those within the village or church in need during the Covid-19 pandemic. The fund will be administered by the Standing Committee of the Marcham with Garford PCC which will meet approximately every two weeks to review any applications.
Please note that we are also distributing food parcels from the charity Sofea, so if you are in need of food now, please contact us to let us know, using the form on the Marcham Community Larder page.
Who can apply?
This fund is available to any individual or family based in the parish or on the electoral roll of the church.
What can I get funds for?
As this is a fast-moving and uncertain situation, each application will be considered on its own merits. It may be to help pay household bills, to pay for a week’s shop or some other reason. The committee will be looking to see that the need is a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic and not an ongoing or long-standing issue. The committee will also need to be satisfied that the request is for something that is a genuine hardship, like a lack of food or an inability to pay the bills because the lockdown has resulted in unemployment.
